Having created formulas, processes and techniques to make sustainable end user paper/plastic replacement products, the challenge was how to get people using them. Especially as potential customers have made existing investments in machinery, processes and relationships with suppliers.
How does ValueForm do it?
By making products from our formulas and selling them to end users.
By establishing complete supply chains of raw materials through to end product, ValueForm delivers paper replacement products to some of the largest stationary suppliers in the UK.
ValueForm has also invested many years of research into designing and building a cellulose fibre preparation, processing and moulding facility that is used to formulate materials fit to meet both the performance of products currently in use and ensure the post-use routing of the packaging material has minimal adverse environmental effect. The product sectors we address as of today are industrial packaging, medical, horticultural products, food packaging such as fresh produce and we are beginning to address products in the built environment.
ValueForm is the first business in the UK to be able to offer customers the ability to make pulp moulded products themselves, replacing the use of paper whether virgin, recycled or craft with an annually renewable alternative material, e.g. cereal straws, with an appropriate processing regime to meet product specification. ValueForm products are made from completely HOME compostable waste materials, and crucially NOT PAPER. This design methodology and implementation is in line with direction set out by government through WRAP, DEFRA and CARBON TRUST and COURTAULD AGREEMENT -
1. No land fill issues.
2. Home compostability; This is important since Anerobic Digestion is in its infancy.
3. Carbon efficient life cycle.
4. Post-use, the materials can be put to second use as biomass for fuel or recycled.
5. No trees are chopped in the processes.
6. Local manufacturing on farms giving added value to farmers over crop sales.
The processes and features of our unique pulp moulding machines are under patent; ValueForm can provide clients with the technology and tools to manufacture themselves, or ValueForm can provide a finished end product.
