July 2010 - Valueform is sponsoring Tom Lloyd Smith' s London to Sydney bicycle ride.  Tom is raising money for Friends Of The Earth and we recommend you keep updated with his travels through his website video blog. Tom' s journey will take him across the world propelled by his own legs and as this kind of distance is rarely travelled at ground level, we hope Tom bring us a unique view on how materials science works in different parts of the world and talk more about how one persons waste is another persons raw material.

The Managing Director of ValueForm Ltd also featured in an edition of the BBC television programme "Politics Today" in early 2008.

 

 

ValueForm Ltd have been commended for their "Development and Launch of Carbon Neutral Padded Envelopes", as part of the South East Low Carbon Awards, at the Private Sector Commitment to Carbon Reduction AWARD organised by the Environment Centre. The Managing Director of ValueForm Ltd, Prakash Korde is pictured receiving the commendation from the Sustainable Business Partnership Manager for Hampshire & Isle of Wight, Stephen Duncan.

 

 

 

 

In line with the basic philosophy that ValueForm Ltd products are made from natural materials, using low energy production processes, and are returned to the earth at the end of their life. We have recently had an independent assessment for our TruGreen™ padded envelopes, and we have a zero carbon footprint rating for these products. Zero carbon foot print has been achieved through careful choice of materials, resource efficient processing, manufacturing with minimal emissions, transportation emissions offsetting and post use environmental impact zeroing. The assessment of our carbon foot print has been carried out independently by Carbon Footprint Ltd who are authorised to certify our Carbon Neutral status.

 

 

ValueForm Ltd wins the the best regional innovation award with a welcome alternative to the ubiquitous plastic food tray. Its product is derived from maize and is 100 per cent biodegradable. A spokesperson from ValueForm said: 'Maize is a natural and renewable material being farmed within the South West. Our innovative approach is to use the waste leaves and stems and convert them in to food trays. This provides a biodegradable and compostable alternative to the familiar plastic trays currently used.

 

ValueForm Ltd were again finalists in the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Sustainable Business Awards 2005 for its key Achievements in the Development of innovative biodegradable packaging made from renewable plant sources.

 

ValueForm Ltd produces and sells packaging items made from patented biodegradable composites. The packaging can be used in horticulture, food and catering industries and may also have medical, cosmetics and stationery applications. There are also ongoing trials, investigating the possible use of other crop wastes.
